Mrs. Hamm
I am so excited about being a seventh grade language arts teacher at Community House. It is going to be a fantastic year. While I continue learn day in and day out, my formal education was completed at King College in Bristol, Tennessee and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. I have an economics and business administration degree with a minor in English from King College and I have a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from ETSU. I started my career in Charlotte in 1992 at Coulwood Middle School teaching seventh grade language arts. I taught there for five years, took a year off to be a stay - at- home mommy with my oldest son, Tyler, and came back to the classroom at Spaugh Middle School of Math, Science and Technology. I stayed at Spaugh for three years, took a summer and a semester to be a stay - at - home mommy with my youngest son, Dylan. When I returned to the classroom this next time, I came back to seventh grade language arts at South Charlotte Middle School where I taught for three and one - half years. This is my eleventh year at CHMS. I couldn't be happier to be a Cavalier!
My wonderful husband of twenty-seven years and I are parents to Tyler, 18 and Dylan, 14. We love the beach and the mountains and often head for the coast or the Appalachian mountains.
